Ingredients

The smoothie base

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 2 packages (3.5 oz each) unsweetened frozen acai puree
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup sweet fruit juice

Toppings

  • to taste honey
  • to taste vanilla flavored granola
  • as desired fresh fruit

Instructions

  1. Chill the serving bowls in the freezer while preparing the mixture.
  2. Break the acai puree packages into pieces using a meat mallet.
  3. For the blender method, add acai, banana pieces, blueberries, and juice to a high-powered blender and blend on low speed until smooth, adding more juice if needed.
  4. For the food processor method, add banana chunks and pulse to break them up, then add blueberries and pulse again, followed by acai and juice, blending until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into the chilled bowls and top with granola, fresh fruit, and a drizzle of honey if desired.
