Boneless Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients

The glaze

  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ to ⅓ cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • ¼ cup pure bourbon whiskey
  • 1 Tablespoon orange juice or apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • pinch none nutmeg (optional)
  • to taste none Kosher salt

The pork chops

  • 1.5 to 2 lbs boneless pork chops (4 to 6 chops, 1 inch thick)
  • to taste none Kosher salt
  • to taste none black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon melted butter or avocado oil
  • optional none fresh thyme (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze by whisking together the glaze ingredients in a saucepan and bringing to a light boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until the glaze thickens.
  3. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and preheat the oven broiler.
  4. Sear the pork chops in an oven-safe pan until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Brush the pork chops with the glaze and broil until caramelized, flipping halfway.
  6. Let the pork chops rest before serving, adjusting seasonings to taste.
  7. For the air fryer option, preheat the air fryer, season the pork chops, and brush with glaze before cooking.
