Cheesy Bacon Pull-Apart Bread

Ingredients

The bread

  • 1 large loaf French, Italian, or sourdough bread

The filling

  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 strips cooked bacon, chopped
  • 4 green onions chopped
  • 3 cups shredded Arla Dofino® Gouda Cheese
  • additional chopped green onions for garnish, if desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. Cut a cross-hatch pattern into the bread without cutting all the way through the bottom.
  3. Combine melted butter and minced garlic.
  4. Drizzle the garlic butter mixture into the cuts of the bread.
  5. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the top foil and stuff the bacon and cheese into the crevices.
  7. Sprinkle green onions on top and push them gently into the bread.
  8. Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with additional green onions if desired, and serve warm.
