Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a muffin pan.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg and then add sugar, mixing until thick.
- 4. Stir in orange zest, then whisk in vanilla and melted butter.
- 5. Add sour cream in two parts, mixing until just combined.
- 6. Fold in the flour mixture until just combined, then add cranberries and nuts.
- 7. Divide the batter into the muffin cups and bake for 20-23 minutes.
- 8. While baking, prepare the glaze by mixing sugar and orange zest, and simmering sugar with orange juice until syrupy.
- 9. Brush the muffins with the glaze and dip the tops in the orange sugar.
