Sesame Roasted Tempeh

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package plain tempeh, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce, reduced sodium
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • ½ teaspoon agave syrup
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

Instructions

  1. 1. Place cubed tempeh in a medium dish.
  2. 2. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha sauce, agave syrup, garlic, and ginger. Stir well, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spread the marinated tempeh on a baking sheet.
  4. 4. Roast in the top rack of the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden and crisp on the outside.
  5. 5. Remove from oven and let cool.
  6. 6. Serve in salads, as an entree, or in sandwiches or wraps. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
