Crunchy Baked Granola Bars

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C) and toast the oats and almonds for 10-15 minutes.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (162°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flaxseed meal, desiccated coconut, and sea salt.
- Add the toasted oats and almonds, along with the chopped dates, and mix well.
- In a saucepan, combine almond butter, coconut oil, and maple syrup, and heat until boiling.
- Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined 8x8-inch baking pan and press down evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool in the pan, then transfer to the freezer to cool faster.
- Once cooled, lift out and slice into bars.
- Optional: Melt chocolate and coconut oil, drizzle over bars, and sprinkle with sea salt or hemp seeds.
