Spicy Sesame Grilled Tofu

Ingredients

Tofu

  • 1 15-ounce package extra firm tofu

Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
  • 1 ½ teaspoons red chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon dulse granules

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess liquid and slice it into thick slabs.
  2. Prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce, vinegar, oil, garlic, ginger, chili paste, sesame seeds, and dulse granules.
  3. Place the tofu in a dish and pour the marinade over it, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and remove the tofu from the marinade, saving the marinade for later.
  5. Grill the tofu for about 10 minutes on each side until golden brown, brushing with extra marinade while cooking.
  6. Serve the grilled tofu as an entrée or in sandwiches or salads.
