No Yeast Pizza Crust

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons xanthan gum
  • ¾ teaspoon fine grain kosher salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon light olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Slowly pour in ¾ cup of warm water while stirring until a soft, sticky dough forms.
  4. If the dough is too dry, add more water, 1-2 tablespoons at a time.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a smooth ball.
  6. If the dough is too warm or sticky, chill it in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough into a 10-inch circle about ½ inch thick.
  8. Transfer the dough to a greased pizza pan and pinch the edges to create a thicker crust.
  9. Drizzle ½ tablespoon of olive oil on top.
  10. Par-bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden.
  11. Add your desired toppings and bake at 450°F for an additional 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden.
