Instructions
- Toast the cinnamon stick pieces, peppercorns, coriander seeds, and cloves in a large saucepan over medium heat until fragrant.
- Slowly add the apple cider, orange zest, and brown sugar to the saucepan, then simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Skim any foam that rises to the surface during simmering.
- Prepare a fine mesh strainer lined with a coffee filter or cheesecloth over a bowl and strain the mixture, discarding the solids.
- Return the strained cider mixture to the saucepan and stir in the brandy.
- Serve the mulled cider in mugs with orange slices for garnish.
