Instructions
- Add the apple juice, cloves, star anise, and cinnamon to a Dutch oven or stockpot.
- Add the zest and juice from half of one orange.
- Bring to a rapid simmer over medium heat, then reduce to a low simmer and cover.
- Simmer for 20 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Remove from heat and stir in the bourbon.
- Strain out whole spices before serving.
- Garnish with sliced orange and apple.
