Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Mix flour and brown sugar, then cut in butter until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into a greased 13x9 baking pan and bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly browned.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth, then add eggs and mix until combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
- Toss chopped apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and remaining sugar, then spoon over the cream cheese layer.
- In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and oats, then cut in butter until crumbly and sprinkle over the apple layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the filling is set.
- Drizzle with caramel topping and cool in the pan for 1 hour before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Cut into bars and serve.
