The Sauce

gluten free hoisin sauce

naturally sweetened BBQ Sauce or unsweetened tomato sauce

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- In a large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients, adding the whisked egg last.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined, optionally adding sesame seeds.
- Roll the mixture into balls slightly larger than golf balls and place them on a greased or lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, turning halfway through, until firm and slightly browned.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the Orange Hoisin sauce by blending all sauce ingredients together.
- Pour the sauce into a medium pan and bring to a soft boil, then reduce the heat.
- Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes, turning to coat evenly.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and optional sesame seeds before serving.
