Ingredients

The mushrooms

  • 1 pound shiitake mushrooms, cleaned, trimmed and sliced

The aromatics

  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste sliced green onion

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and cook for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper, and sauté for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Garnish with sliced green onion and serve.
