Ingredients

The batter

  • 1 ½ cups white whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups almond milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • as needed none butter (for greasing the pan)

Toppings

  • as desired none toppings of your choice

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the almond milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, and whisk until blended.
  3. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Let the batter rest for about 5 minutes.
  5. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and grease it lightly.
  6. Pour approximately ¼ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  7. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until golden.
  8. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
