Homemade Roasted Red Peppers

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces bell peppers (red, yellow, orange, or green)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450ºF and line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise, remove seeds and white veins, and place them cut-side down on the parchment paper.
  3. Roast the peppers in the oven for about 30 to 40 minutes until the skin is blistery and charred.
  4. Place the roasted peppers in a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap or a cloth to let them sit for at least 20 minutes.
  5. Once cool enough to handle, remove the skin and discard it.
  6. Store the peeled peppers in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
