Ingredients

The peppers

  • 1 whole red pepper

Equipment

  • 1 cookie sheet foil-lined cookie sheet
  • 1 large zip-lock bag

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Cut the tops off the peppers and remove seeds and membranes.
  3. Slice the peppers into segments and lay skin side up on the cookie sheet.
  4. Place the peppers under the broiler and char them until blackened.
  5. Remove the peppers and place them in a zip-lock bag, sealing it immediately.
  6. After about 20 minutes, remove the skins from the cooled peppers.
