Instructions
- 1. Heat olive oil in the Instant Pot using the sauté function.
- 2. Sauté chopped onions and garlic until translucent.
- 3. Add chicken broth, rinsed black eyed peas, smoked turkey leg, Creole seasoning, and bay leaf to the pot.
- 4. Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
- 5. Allow steam to release naturally for 10 minutes before opening the pot.
- 6. Remove the bay leaf and smoked turkey leg, shred the turkey if desired, and return it to the pot.
- 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve.
