Instructions
- Combine yeast with warm milk and flour, let it rest.
- Mix in remaining yeast, milk, flour, vanilla, and egg yolks until smooth.
- Add sugar, salt, and butter, then knead the dough until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Prepare the cream by heating milk with a vanilla bean, then whisk egg yolks and sugar, and combine with the milk.
- Cook the cream mixture until thick, strain, and cool in the fridge.
- Whip heavy cream and fold into the cooled vanilla cream.
- Roll out the dough, cut into squares, and shape into balls.
- Let the doughnuts proof for 20-30 minutes.
- Heat oil and fry the doughnuts until golden brown.
- Prepare hot chocolate sauce by warming milk and cream, adding chocolate, and mixing in wine and butter.
