Sausage and Mozzarella Calzone

Ingredients

  • 4 loaves frozen bread
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Thaw the dough in the refrigerator for about 8 hours and let it rise for an hour.
  2. Brown the sausage, then mix it with the sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  3. Cut each loaf in half and roll it out, placing ¼ to ⅓ cup of the sausage mixture in the center of each calzone.
  4. Fold the tops over and pinch shut with a fork.
  5. Bake at 400°F for about 12 minutes, or wrap and freeze for later.
