Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm water and yeast, allowing it to dissolve.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then divide into two balls and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and flour, then let the dough rise until doubled in size.
- Mix shredded chicken with olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper, and wilt the spinach.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and roll out the dough into circles.
- Layer the filling on one half of each dough circle, leaving a border.
- Fold the dough over the filling, crimp the edges, and cut slits on top.
- Brush the calzones with olive oil and bake until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
