Ingredients

Dough and Filling

  • 1 lb. Fresh Pizza Dough
  • 4 oz. Turkey Pepperoni Slices
  • 8 oz. Fresh Moist Mozzarella
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
  • ¼ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • ¼ tsp. Basil Flakes
  • ¼ tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 Large Organic Egg
  • 3 tsp. Water
  • cup Pastry Flour
  • 1 tsp. Oregano

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce

Instructions

  1. Spread pastry flour on the countertop and shape the fresh dough into a circle.
  2. Chop turkey pepperoni and mix it with parmesan, ricotta, shredded mozzarella, red pepper flakes, basil flakes, and black pepper.
  3. Place the filling on one half of the dough and top with thick slices of fresh mozzarella.
  4. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling, leaving a one-inch edge, and twist the edges to seal.
  5. Mix egg, water, and oregano in a small bowl and brush it over the calzone, then cut slits on top.
  6. Spray a baking sheet with olive oil, place the calzone on it, and bake at 425°F for 16 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve with marinara sauce.
