Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 10-ounce bags mini marshmallows
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt
  • 9 cups crispy rice cereal

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with greased parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, then add the marshmallows and stir until melted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt, then fold in the cereal until coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and gently spread it to fit the pan without packing it down.
  5. Allow the treats to set for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares.
  6. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
