Instructions
- Pat dry the steak with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a cast iron skillet until very hot and sear the steaks for about 4 minutes on each side.
- Sear the edges of the steak until they start to char.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add butter, garlic, and fresh herbs, spooning the butter over the steaks.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes based on desired doneness.
- Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
