Sirloin Steak Tips

Ingredients

The steak and marinade

  • 4 tbsp Olive oil (divided into 3 tbsp and 1 tbsp)
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • 1 lb Top sirloin steaks (cut into 1.5-inch pieces)

Optional sauce

  • ¼ cup Chimichurri sauce

Instructions

  1. Whisk together 3 tablespoons of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Pat the steak pieces dry and add them to the marinade, coating well. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high to high heat until a drop of water sizzles.
  4. Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and add the steak tips in a single layer, cooking for 30 to 60 seconds on each side until browned.
  5. Remove the steak tips from the pan immediately to prevent overcooking and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve with chimichurri sauce if desired.
