Instructions
- Prepare the Hibiscus Strawberry Quick-Jam by steeping hibiscus flowers in boiling water for 10 minutes, then strain.
- Blend the hibiscus tea with hulled strawberries until smooth.
- In a pot, combine the strawberry mixture with sugar and salt, simmer for 20 minutes, and then add lime juice before cooling.
- For the Cheese Danishes, whisk together egg, cream cheese, sugar, and jam until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4-inch squares, then shape into triangles.
- Fill the center of each triangle with the cream cheese mixture and a dollop of jam.
- Chill the assembled danishes in the freezer for 15 minutes before baking.
- Bake at 375°F for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, salt, and milk until smooth, then drizzle over cooled danishes.
