Instructions
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onions, garlic, egg, and half of the spices in a bowl.
- Mix gently and form into meatballs, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
- Spray the slow cooker with cooking oil and place the meatballs inside.
- Cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours without opening the lid.
- Meanwhile, mix the BBQ sauce, remaining spices, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce.
- After the initial cooking time, drain excess fat if necessary and pour the BBQ sauce over the meatballs without stirring.
- Continue cooking for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes on High or 3 hours on Low.
- Check the internal temperature of the meatballs to ensure they reach 160°F before serving.
