Ingredients

The mushrooms

  • 16 oz brown mushrooms, or white mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste lemon wedges, for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. 2. Sauté the garlic until slightly browned.
  3. 3. Add the mushrooms and stir for a few moments.
  4. 4. Pour in the chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, salt, smoked paprika, and oregano, stirring to combine.
  5. 5. Add the Parmesan cheese and cook until it melts.
  6. 6. Stir in the lemon juice, remove from heat, and garnish with lemon wedges before serving.
