Ingredients

The pasta

  • 8 oz spaghetti

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • cup whipping cream
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • ¼ tablespoon salt
  • to taste parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil and butter.
  3. Sauté the garlic until slightly browned, then add the sliced mushrooms.
  4. Stir the mushrooms a few times, then add the chicken broth and whipping cream.
  5. Season the mixture with salt and cayenne pepper, then stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  6. Transfer the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and mix well with the sauce.
  7. Add the baby spinach and cook until it starts to wilt, then turn off the heat.
  8. Stir in the chopped parsley and serve immediately.
