Ingredients

The corn

  • 4 ears corn

The dairy

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • cups whole milk
  • ½-¾ cup cream

The seasonings

  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • ½ unit jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1-2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove the husk from the corn and cut the kernels off the cob, collecting them in a bowl.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add garlic, jalapeno, and Creole seasoning, stirring until fragrant.
  3. Combine the corn, flour, and milk, stirring until the flour is absorbed, then add to the skillet with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and add cream if desired, cooking for 7-10 minutes to reach preferred thickness.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary before serving.
