Ingredients

The creamed corn

  • ¼ cup Danish Creamery Premium Butter
  • 5 cups fresh yellow corn kernels
  • Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • cups half and half
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

For serving

  • 1 Tbsp minced fresh chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the corn and sauté for 4 minutes until it brightens in color.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add flour, and cook while tossing for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly pour in the half and half and honey while stirring.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with chives if desired.
