Ingredients

The chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless chicken thighs

The rub and sauce

  • to taste favorite chicken rub
  • to taste BBQ sauce

The oil

  • 1 tablespoon high-heat oil (like peanut oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill and coat it with high-heat oil.
  2. Rub the chicken thighs with your favorite chicken rub.
  3. Place the chicken thighs on the direct heat zone of the grill.
  4. Monitor the chicken and move thinner pieces to the indirect heat zone if necessary.
  5. Once the chicken is nearly cooked through, apply BBQ sauce to the thighs.
  6. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach around 170 degrees.
