Juicy Grilled Chicken Thighs

The marinade

homemade dry rub

Instructions
- Score the bottom part of the chicken thighs with slits to help the marinade penetrate.
- Marinate the chicken thighs with the dry rub and liquid smoke, mixing thoroughly.
- Grill the chicken thighs over direct heat at 300°F, starting with the skin side down for about 2 minutes on each side.
- Turn the chicken a couple of times to prevent burning and baste with olive oil while grilling.
- Move the chicken to the side of the grill without direct heat and cover the grill.
- Continue to barbecue for about 6-8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Serve hot with your favorite hot sauce.
