Oven-Baked Tilapia

Ingredients

The Fish

  • 4-6 pieces tilapia loins

The Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano pepper
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 large lemon
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400℉/205℃.
  2. Rinse the fish loins or fillets, dry them, and rub with seasoned salt and pepper. Place in an ungreased 9"x13" baking dish.
  3. Heat oil over medium heat in a large pan, then add butter, garlic, thyme, paprika, and oregano pepper. Stir for about a minute.
  4. Pour about ½ cup chicken broth, white pepper, and 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice into the butter sauce. Adjust to taste and season with salt if desired.
  5. Pour the sauce over the fish and bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
