Grilled Halibut

Ingredients

The fish

  • 4 6-oz Halibut fillets (1 inch thick)

The marinade

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice

The seasoning

  • ¾ tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Clean the grill grates and preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. 2. Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil and lemon juice, and in another bowl, mix garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4. Brush the oil and lemon mixture on each fillet and season with the garlic powder mixture.
  5. 5. Place the halibut on the grill, skin side down, and close the lid. Grill for 5-7 minutes until the edges are opaque.
  6. 6. Flip the fish and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 135-140°F.
  7. 7. Transfer the grilled halibut to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
