Ingredients

The kale

  • 1 bunch lacinato (dino) kale

The cooking ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Remove the woody stems from the kale and slice the leaves into one-inch wide strips.
  2. Wash the kale leaves thoroughly in cool running water.
  3. Mince the garlic and sauté it in a large pot with cooking oil over medium heat for about one minute.
  4. Add the washed kale to the pot and stir until it is wilted and glossy, cooking for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, and sesame seeds to the pot, stirring to coat the kale.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, then serve warm.
