Sausage and Rice

Instructions
- Slice the smoked sausage into ½-inch thick rounds.
- Heat the cooking oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the frozen seasoning mix and cook until heated through.
- Stir in the rice, Creole seasoning, and chicken broth until combined.
- Cover the skillet and bring the broth to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes with the lid on.
- Fluff the rice and adjust seasoning with more Creole seasoning and hot sauce to taste.
