Instructions
- Snap the ends off the green beans and cut them into bite-sized pieces if necessary.
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the green beans and sprinkle with salt, sautéing until they start to brown, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in vegetable broth, cover, and simmer until the green beans are al dente, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the lid, stir in sliced almonds, and sauté until the liquid is steamed off and the almonds are toasted, about 5 minutes.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and add black pepper to taste before serving.
