Ingredients

The meat mixture

  • 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 8 oz white mushrooms, minced
  • 1 medium carrot, minced
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 15 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

The crust and cheese

  • 1 11 oz can refrigerated pizza crust dough
  • 1 cup shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. 2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Add the steak seasoning.
  3. 3. Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced mushrooms, carrot, onion, garlic, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Unroll the pizza dough into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down and up the sides.
  6. 6. Pour the meat mixture into the dough and bake for 12 minutes.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is browned.
