Ingredients

The filling

  • 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • to taste Oregano
  • to taste Onion Powder
  • to taste Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced or chopped

The crust and cheese

  • 10 oz can refrigerated pizza crust dough
  • 6 oz shredded reduced fat mozzarella
  • to taste Cooking Spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, seasoning with oregano, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes until browned.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and heat through.
  5. Coat a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  6. Unroll the pizza crust dough and press it into the bottom and halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the bottom of the crust.
  8. Top with the meat mixture.
  9. Bake uncovered for 12 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven, top with the remaining cheese, and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the crust is browned and the cheese is melted.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
