How to Cook Tempeh

Instructions
- 1. Steam the tempeh in a steamer basket for 10 minutes.
- 2. In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, olive oil, and black pepper.
- 3. Add the steamed tempeh to the marinade, toss to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- 4. For baked tempeh, preheat the oven to 425°F, arrange the marinated tempeh on a baking sheet, and bake for 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- 5. For sautéed tempeh, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add the tempeh, and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until crispy.
