Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2–3 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or a mix of breasts and thighs)

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons seasoning of choice (optional)
  • cup chicken broth or water
  • to taste sea salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Season the chicken breasts with your chosen seasonings and/or salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Place the chicken in the Instant Pot with the broth.
  3. 3. Lock the lid in place and turn the valve to sealing.
  4. 4. Select the poultry setting and set the timer for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Once the timer goes off, cancel the setting and switch the valve to venting to release pressure.
  6. 6. Remove the lid and transfer the chicken to a plate or dish.
  7. 7. Shred the chicken using two forks or cut into cubes.
  8. 8. Return the shredded chicken to the Instant Pot and mix with the broth.
  9. 9. Serve the chicken as desired or store leftovers in an airtight container.
