Candied Sweet Potatoes with Marshmallows

marshmallows

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt to the melted butter and stir until the sugar melts.
- Add vanilla extract and stir until the glaze thickens.
- Pour in water and stir until the glaze caramelizes.
- Place sweet potatoes in a 9x13 baking dish.
- Pour the candied glaze over the sweet potatoes.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil, stir, baste the sweet potatoes, and sprinkle marshmallows on top.
- Return to the oven uncovered and bake for 10 minutes until marshmallows are melted and bubbly.
- Let sit for 15 minutes before serving.
