Ingredients

Apple Pear Filling

  • 3 pieces bosc pears, peeled and sliced
  • 4 pieces pink lady apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons raw honey
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup regular oats
  • ½ cup white whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced pears, sliced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, raw honey, salt, and lemon juice, and toss gently.
  3. Pour the fruit mixture into a 13x9 inch baking dish or an 11 inch skillet.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix regular oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crisp topping over the fruit mixture.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
