Instructions
- Combine the fruit and 2 tablespoons of honey in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Cook until the fruit liquefies, about 5 to 10 minutes for berries.
- Bring to a gentle boil and cook for about 5 minutes until it breaks down and becomes saucy, mashing lightly to desired consistency.
- Taste for sweetness and add more honey if desired.
- Stir in chia seeds and cook for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes to thicken.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 2 months.
