Instructions
- Prepare the dough the night before by mixing flour, salt, and yeast, then adding enough water to form a ball of dough. Cover and let it rest for 12-18 hours.
- The next day, slice the onions and sauté them in olive oil over medium-low heat for about 45 minutes until caramelized.
- While the onions cook, slice the mushrooms and sauté them in the same skillet after removing the onions, adding salt, pepper, and thyme until moisture evaporates.
- For the sauce, sauté minced garlic in butter, then add cream cheese, milk, and salt, whisking until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 500°F and prepare the dough by stretching it into a circle on a floured surface.
- Spread the sauce over the dough, then top with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and mozzarella.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown, and sprinkle with parsley if desired.
