Butter Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 shallot minced
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chicken broth or water

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium frying pan on medium heat.
  2. Melt the butter and add the minced shallot, cooking until softened.
  3. Add the white wine to deglaze the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  4. Whisk in the cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon juice, and chicken broth or water until combined.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring often until slightly thickened.
