Instructions
- 1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat a skillet with a lid over medium-high heat and add cooking spray or oil.
- 3. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until browned, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- 4. Flip the chicken and brown the other side.
- 5. Add about ½ inch of water or broth to the pan, cover, and reduce heat to medium.
- 6. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, adding more liquid if necessary.
- 7. Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
- 8. Shred the chicken using your preferred method.
