The frosting

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Toast the walnuts in the oven for 8 to 12 minutes, then chop them.
- In a bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, then add the eggs, yogurt, and vanilla.
- Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the apples and half of the walnuts.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
- Prepare the frosting by beating the cream cheese, butter, and brown sugar, then mix in vanilla, salt, and powdered sugar.
- Spread the frosting on the cooled cake and top with remaining walnuts.
