Ingredients

Golden Milk

  • 16 to 18 ounces coconut or almond milk (plain and unsweetened)
  • 2 teaspoons honey, maple syrup, or agave
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • pinch black pepper

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 small banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 to 1½ cups diced pineapple or papaya (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup diced mango (fresh or frozen)
  • optional fresh mint (to garnish)
  • optional add-ins (protein powder, chia seeds, flax, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Brew the golden milk by combining all five ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, then simmer for five minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the fresh or frozen fruit to a blender and pour the cooled golden milk on top.
  4. Blend until smooth and serve immediately, garnished with fresh mint if desired.
