Turkey Tenderloin with Easy Garlic Gravy

Ingredients

Turkey Tenderloin

  • 2 pieces turkey tenderloins (approx. 1.5 lb total)
  • ¾ tsp fine sea salt
  • ½ Tbsp poultry seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil)
  • to taste chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Quick & Easy Gravy

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely grated or pressed
  • 2 cups beef broth, room temperature (can sub turkey or chicken broth)
  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Dry brine turkey by seasoning with salt and poultry seasoning, then refrigerate uncovered overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  3. Sear the turkey tenderloins in a hot oven-proof skillet with oil for 5 minutes total to brown all sides.
  4. Roast the tenderloins in the oven for 10-13 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160ºF.
  5. Let the tenderloins rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. Serve with gravy and your favorite sides.
  7. To make the gravy, melt butter in a saucepan, add flour, and whisk for 5 minutes to make a roux.
  8. Add garlic and stir for 1 minute, then add beef broth and salt, bringing to a boil and cooking until thickened.
